Šípek faculty cup at UCT Prague
The battle
of the faculties of UCT Prague has been around for decades, however with the
Šípek cup coming, competing and battling in various disciplines became
official!
During the whole academic year our awesome 4 faculties compete to bring home valuable points for their team: the disciplines vary greatly - from chess competition to dragon boats race. The faculty that collect the most points in the end of the year gains not only pride, glory and superiority among the others, but also the evidence of this heroic accomplishment - the Šípek challenge cup.
You might ask - who is that Šípek they are talking about? Well, the decision after whom the cup should be named was easy - Mr. Šípek is legendary person at our school, the founder of Kachekran (aka the Carnival of chemists ending in the morning), and a person who basically started the whole social life at UCT. And we are glad that he agreed to be the patron of the cup.
If you want
to see what each discipline is about, please see the description. Each
discipline varies greatly, and even teachers and professors may need to
participate in some of them. Also, we enforce that both men and women should
participate equally.
Team of each faculty is lead by a student, and invites to most disciplines are available on social media (especially faculty FB groups). If you wan to support your faculty, please contact your captain for the following year:
